Anti-Bribery Policy

Policy

Bribery is a criminal offence. At Litchfields Chartered Accountants, it is our policy to conduct all our business in an honest and ethical manner. We take a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption and are committed to acting professionally, fairly and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships. We require compliance from all persons connected to our business including employees, directors, officers, agency workers, seconded workers, volunteers, interns, agents, contractors, external consultants, third-party representatives, and business partners.

It is prohibited, directly or indirectly, for any employee or person working on our behalf to offer, give, request, or accept a bribe. Any employee who breaches this policy will face disciplinary action, which could result in dismissal for gross misconduct. Any non-employee who breaches this policy may have their contract terminated with immediate effect.

If you, as an employee or person working on our behalf, suspect that an act of bribery or attempted bribery has taken place, even if you are not personally involved, you must notify Raj Shah. You may be asked to give a written account of events.

Gifts and hospitality

This policy does not prohibit the giving or accepting of reasonable and appropriate hospitality for legitimate purposes such as building relationships, maintaining our image or reputation, or marketing our products and services.

No gift should be given, nor hospitality offered by an employee or anyone working on our behalf to any party in connection with our business without receiving prior written approval from Raj Shah.

Similarly, no gift or offer of hospitality should be accepted by an employee or anyone working on our behalf without receiving prior written approval from Raj Shah. In all cases full details of gifts and hospitality received should be notified to Raj Shah.

A record will be made of every instance in which gifts or hospitality are given or received.

This policy is subject to review and we reserve the right to amend this policy without prior notice.
