Litchfields is a boutique firm based in the heart of London, providing exceptional audit, tax and business advisory services. Being a service provider to niche sectors such as Legal, Healthcare, Music, Event Management and Hospitality, communication and problem-solving skills will be at the forefront of the training and development. Candidates should be able to work independently whilst still considering the needs to the whole practice and its clients.

Due to on-going expansion, an opportunity has arisen for an individual to join our team as a Semi-Senior.

Joining Litchfields will ensure you become part of an innovative, forward-thinking organisation. You will ideally be ACA or ACCA qualified, as well as being able to demonstrate relevant practice experience. Coming into the firm as a qualified professional, you will be responsible for the preparation, review and finalisation of various projects, including statutory company accounts, self-assessment returns for sole traders and partnerships, as well as getting involved with statutory audits, all for partner review. You will also be involved in assisting the partners to organise and run their client portfolios.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements for different entity structures such as limited companies, partnerships and self-employed
  • Being involved in ad-hoc projects with management, partners and clients
  • Planning and organising work to meet requirements for the firm
  • Interacting and liaising with different levels of management both inside and outside of the firm
  • Ensuring high level of accuracy in all details and managing priorities
  • Looking after a portfolio of clients
  • Mentoring and training junior staff
  • Using various software packages, including Microsoft Office and other industry specific packages
  • Maintaining standards of confidentiality with respect to all matters and documents

Skill requirements:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, with experience from a Practice environment
  • Upper second (2.1) or equivalent obtained at university level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technical knowledge for direct and indirect taxes
  • Audit experience will be an advantage, but not essential
  • Proactive and enthusiastic attitude, taking initiative with projects and workflow in the office
  • Excellent computer proficiency, with experience using Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Experience in using software packages such as IRIS, Sage 50 and cloud platforms
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Experience of using accounting and tax software in practice is essential
